The Covey Film Festival is announcing its Student Film Competition for 2024, offering a unique opportunity to promote and to empower the future of film! We invite student filmmakers who are high school juniors or seniors, and attend schools located within Thomas County, to apply for this year’s competition.
This year, Covey has selected Landmarks as a project partner. As Landmarks is dedicated to preserving Thomas County’s historic architecture, landscapes, and history, this year’s theme will focus on filming Thomas County’s landmark buildings, landscapes, objects, and sites.
When you submit an entry to the Covey Film Festival, you have opportunity to become an Official Selection, meaning that your film could screen during the 2024 Covey Film Festival. Student filmmakers are welcome to submit as many films as they wish, in as many categories as they wish. Students may submit entries independently and may choose the category/genre which best fits their film. Entries will be accepted beginning September 15th, with the deadline for entry submittal scheduled to close on December 15th. We can’t wait to see what you create!
